Hurlingham Open begins 133rd edition of prestigious polo tournament
The 133rd Hurlingham Open begins on Tuesday, September 22, marking the start of the 2026 Argentine Polo Triple Crown. As one of the most prestigious tournaments on the international polo calendar, the event features eight elite teams divided into two zones.
Zone A includes La Natividad La Dolfina, Las Monjitas, La Ensenada, and La Aguada. Zone B consists of Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú, La Hache Polo Team, Híper Polo Club, and Don Ercole. The competition follows a double knock-out system.
Quarter-finals will be held at the Argentine Polo Association fields in Pilar. The playoffs will transition to the historic Hurlingham Club, with the Copa Drysdale (losers' playoffs) scheduled for October 1 and the Copa The Ayrshire (winners' playoffs) on October 3, which will determine the tournament champion.
