Hush Security Secures $30M Series A as Lenovo Capital Expands AI Investment Strategy

Hush Security, a startup that secures enterprise AI agents, announced a $30 million Series A funding round. Akamai Technologies joined as a strategic investor alongside existing backers Battery Ventures and YL Ventures, bringing Hush’s total capital raised to $41 million. The company says its identity‑based platform registers AI agents, strips standing credentials and grants just‑in‑time permissions, with a centralized kill switch for control.

Separately, Lenovo Capital, the venture arm of Lenovo Group, outlined a “sniper” AI strategy that targets robotics, computing infrastructure and AI agents. Chief Investment Officer Song Chunyu said AI‑related businesses now comprise roughly one‑third of the fund’s 300‑company portfolio, citing investments in firms such as Cambricon Technologies and Zhipu AI. The unit aims to back top performers in frontier technology sectors as AI drives the next industrial cycle.
