Hut 8 Shares Slip After Analyst Downgrades and Earnings Miss

Northland Securities cut its Q3 2026 earnings estimate for Hut 8 Corp. to a loss of $1.06 per share, down from a prior forecast of a $0.21 loss. The company reported a Q3 loss of $1.27 per share and revenue of $72.66 million, both missing consensus expectations.

Following the earnings miss, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods lowered its price target for the stock to $154 and kept an outperform rating. The downgrade contributed to a 2.3% decline in Hut 8 shares during mid‑day trading, with the price falling to $90.65 after briefly trading as low as $88.01. Other analysts have also adjusted target prices and ratings for the bitcoin‑mining firm amid the broader AI infrastructure deal it secured.
