HV71 reportedly nearing deal for Mike Hardman
Swedish SHL club HV71 is reportedly nearing a deal to sign 27-year-old center Mike Hardman. The move comes after the club lost Noah Philp, who unexpectedly announced his retirement in August due to a lack of motivation.
Hardman, a North American forward with NHL experience, most recently played for the Utica Comets in the AHL within the New Jersey Devils organization. His professional career includes stints with the Chicago Blackhawks organization and time spent in the AHL with the Rockford Icehogs.
While HV71 sports director Johan Hult stated that no official signature has been obtained and declined to comment further, reports indicate a verbal agreement is in place. Hardman is expected to provide depth for HV71 following their second-to-last place finish in the 2025-26 season.
