HVC’10 defeats De Jonge Spartaan 3-1

HVC’10 secured a 3-1 victory against De Jonge Spartaan in their first competitive meeting. The match, held in Middelharnis, marked a new rivalry between the two clubs.

Despite playing without suspended captain Kay van den Bos, HVC’10 managed to overcome a difficult first half. De Jonge Spartaan initially controlled much of the play with a defensive setup involving five defenders and an aggressive pressing style. However, this high-energy approach led to fatigue in the second half.

De Jonge Spartaan took an early lead in the 31st minute when Boy Hoogmoed scored into an empty net following a mistake by goalkeeper Dinand Staal. HVC’10 eventually capitalized on the physical decline of the home team to secure the three points.
