Hvězdná hodina vrahů mini-series debuts on Czech Television
The German-Czech mini-series ‘Hvězdná hodina vrahů’ (Starry Hour of Killers) has become available for streaming on Czech Television. The four-part production is a crime drama set in Prague during the spring of 1945, amidst the final weeks of the Nazi occupation and the approaching Prague Uprising.
The plot follows Jan Morava, a young Czech criminal investigator, as he investigates a series of brutal murders, including the killing of a German general’s widow. To solve the case, Morava must collaborate with Gestapo Chief Inspector Erwin Buback. The series, directed by Christopher Schier and based on the novel by Pavel Kohout, was produced for Canal+ and other European broadcasters.
In terms of viewership, the first episode of the series emerged as the top program for Sunday evening audiences aged 15 and older, securing a 20.32% share in the 15+ demographic.
