Hwacheon County Council reviews 2026 supplementary budget

The Hwacheon County Council held its second budget and settlement special committee meeting during its 300th extraordinary session to review the 2026 third supplementary budget for the Administration and Welfare Bureau and the Tourism City Bureau.

Key discussions included requests to consider subsidies for electric bicycles to meet resident demand. Committee members also addressed the establishment of a settlement support center for discharged soldiers, emphasizing job placement and vocational training. Other budget items under review included the efficient collection of agricultural waste, equipment for indoor ice sculpture experience programs, and the provision of appropriate vehicle types for elderly hospital accompaniment services.
