Hwang Ka Ram reveals 147-day period of homelessness

South Korean singer Hwang Ka Ram, known for the 2024 hit ‘I'm Firefly’, recently shared details of his extreme hardships during his early career on the MBN program ‘Day and Night’.

Born in 1985, Hwang revealed that he moved to the Hongdae district of Seoul with only 2 million won (approximately 38 million VND) saved from manual labor. After his savings were exhausted and he struggled to find musical opportunities, he experienced homelessness for 147 days. He recounted difficult experiences such as sleeping on benches and facing hygiene issues, noting that he performed as a busker with only a guitar during this period.
