Hwaseong City launches smart farm training for fruit growers
Hwaseong Special City is recruiting 35 trainees for its 2026 fruit smart farm education program to enhance agricultural capabilities and support high-quality fruit production. The program is designed to help farmers manage orchards using sensors, smart devices, and smartphone applications.
The training is divided into two tracks: an introductory course for those wishing to adopt smart farm technology and an advanced course for those already operating smart farms. Curriculum topics include smart farm equipment management, data utilization, fruit soil management, and agricultural electrical theory and practice. The program also includes a field trip to the Yeongcheon Agricultural Technology Center to observe open-field smart technology models and grape cultivation cases.
Applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until November 6. The training sessions will take place from November 16 to November 20 at the Hwaseong Special City Agricultural Technology Center.
