HY releases ‘Shinkai’ as theme for ‘Hourly Wage 300 Yen Grim Reaper’ film

The Japanese live‑action film “Hourly Wage 300 Yen Grim Reaper”, adapted from Fujimaru’s novel, is scheduled for a nationwide release on 2 October. It features Naniwa Danshi member Daigo Nishihata and actress Riko Fukuhara in the lead roles, supported by a cast that includes Shibuki Nagisa, Jun Saito and others, and is directed by Maiko Sakai.

The band HY has written and performed the movie’s theme song “Shinkai”. The song was created to convey the perspective of the character Hanamori (played by Fukuhara). Alongside the song announcement, a new trailer containing the track and a poster visual were unveiled, promoting the upcoming film.
