Hyatt appoints Amar Lalvani as first Chief Creative Officer
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has appointed Amar Lalvani as its first-ever chief creative officer. Lalvani will maintain his current position as president and creative director of Hyatt’s Lifestyle Group while reporting directly to Chairman, President, and CEO Mark Hoplamazian.
In this expanded role, Lalvani is tasked with working across Hyatt’s global portfolio to define brand identities and translate them into guest experiences through design, culture, and service. The move is part of Hyatt’s strategic shift toward becoming a more insights-led and brand-focused organization. By sharpening brand distinctions, the company aims to provide guests with clearer reasons to choose Hyatt and offer owners stronger incentives to invest.
Lalvani joined Hyatt in 2024 following the company’s acquisition of Standard International. He previously led global development for W Hotels and brought the teams behind The Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels to Hyatt, which now serve as the foundation for the Lifestyle Group.
