Hyatt Centric Sapporo opens in Hokkaido, Japan

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially opened the Hyatt Centric Sapporo in Hokkaido, Japan. Located in the Urban Net Sapporo Link Tower, the hotel is situated near Odori Park and the former Hokkaido Government Office, approximately a 10-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station.

The hotel’s design concept, ‘Northern Explorer’s Residence,’ is inspired by Takeshiro Matsuura, a historical figure credited with naming Hokkaido. The interior features contemporary interpretations of local craftsmanship, including wooden reception desks, straw art, and reclaimed wood installations.

The property offers 216 guest rooms, including nine suites, all exceeding 36 square meters. Dining options include Matsu Grill & Bar on the 17th floor, which serves Mediterranean-style wood-fired cuisine featuring local seafood and produce, and Mr. Fish by Hyatt Centric Sapporo on the first floor, a casual cafe specializing in seasonal white fish dishes.
