Hyatt enters Guyana with Atlantic Suites Hotel affiliation

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has entered the Guyanese market by adding the Atlantic Suites Hotel in Georgetown to its portfolio as an affiliated hotel. This marks the brand’s first affiliation in Guyana.

The move serves as the initial phase of a larger $50 million development project led by RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. By 2028, the existing Atlantic Suites Hotel is expected to be integrated with a newly constructed adjoining tower to create the Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana. Once completed, the expanded property will feature 240 guestrooms and suites, a signature restaurant, a rooftop bar, and dedicated meeting and event spaces.

Currently, the Atlantic Suites Hotel offers 80 guestrooms with views of the Atlantic Ocean or the Georgetown skyline. Guests also have access to amenities at the neighboring Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate Business Center, including 36,000 square feet of event space and various dining venues. The expansion aims to meet the rising demand for international hospitality standards driven by Guyana’s growing economy and increasing business travel.
