Hyatt Hotels Corporation announces EMEA expansion

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced an expansion strategy across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, including seven openings scheduled through the end of 2026. The expansion will add 1,272 rooms and 24 long-stay apartments across several countries, including Spain, Italy, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Morocco.

In Italy, Hyatt is introducing new brands and locations. The Hyatt Regency Rome Central is expected to open by the third quarter of 2026 near Termini Station, featuring 238 rooms and facilities for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment. Thompson Rome, debuting the Thompson Hotels lifestyle brand in Italy, is slated for the fourth quarter of 2026 near Piazza Venezia. Additionally, Park Hyatt Taormina is planned for 2028, offering 121 suites in Sicily.

In Spain, the company will open Thompson Sevilla by the end of the year. Located in a modernist building in the historic center, the hotel will feature 101 rooms and flexible spaces for coworking and events.
