Hyatt partners with Delta Air Lines as American Airlines loyalty deal ends

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Delta Air Lines have announced a new long-term strategic loyalty collaboration, expected to launch later this year. The partnership will allow elite members of both the World of Hyatt and Delta SkyMiles programs to earn points and miles on qualifying flights and hotel stays.

This new agreement follows the decision by Hyatt and American Airlines to end their enhanced loyalty partnership, which had been in place since 2019. While the collaboration between American Airlines and Hyatt is winding down, existing benefits will remain available through the current earning year.

AAdvantage members who link their accounts with World of Hyatt by November 15th will remain eligible to earn Hyatt awards through Loyalty Point Rewards until February 28, 2027. Similarly, Hyatt members who link accounts by the same deadline can continue earning AAdvantage awards through Hyatt Milestone Rewards until December 31st. American Airlines also confirmed that AAdvantage members will still have the option to earn 500 miles instead of Hyatt points on eligible stays by providing their AAdvantage number at check-in.
