Hyatt to launch online points transfers with new annual limits

World of Hyatt is introducing a digital feature that allows members to transfer points to other accounts online. This update aims to replace the current cumbersome process, which requires members to submit signed PDF forms and wait several days for processing.

While the online capability increases convenience, Hyatt is also implementing new restrictions. Members will be subject to a maximum limit of 525,000 points transferred out of an account per calendar year, as well as a maximum of 525,000 points transferred into an account per calendar year.

These new limits represent a shift from the previous policy, which allowed for unlimited transfers via the manual request method. The digital rollout is expected to begin immediately following recent program updates.
