HYBE announces donation for Colombia earthquake relief

HYBE, the South Korean entertainment agency representing the K-pop group BTS, has announced a donation of 1,000 million Colombian pesos (approximately 300,000 USD) to support communities affected by the earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10.

The funds will be managed in Colombia through the Fundación Ábaco (Asociación de Bancos de Alimentos de Colombia) to provide essential items, food, and support for families in the disaster zones. The earthquake, which measured between 7.4 and 7.5 magnitude, primarily impacted departments including Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Risaralda, and Caldas.

According to government reports, the seismic event has affected over 120,000 families and resulted in significant casualties. This international aid arrives ahead of BTS's scheduled return to Bogotá for two concerts in October 2026 as part of their ‘ARIRANG’ world tour.
