Hyderabad gated communities hold high-value Ganesh laddu auctions

During the Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Hyderabad, residential gated communities have conducted high-value auctions for the Ganesh laddu, a sacred offering considered highly auspicious by devotees. The highest bid recorded was Rs 21.11 lakh at My Home Mangala in Kondapur, won jointly by Sambasiva Rao and Naveen.

Other significant auctions included Rs 13.66 lakh at Raghupathi County in Pragathinagar, Rs 13.56 lakh at Lansum Etania in Rajendranagar, and Rs 13.21 lakh at Indis Viva City in Kondapur. Bids across various communities ranged from Rs 45,000 to over Rs 20 lakh.

The proceeds from these auctions are typically utilized for future festival celebrations or philanthropic activities. Additionally, many communities have adopted eco-friendly practices, such as conducting immersions within their own premises and implementing waste separation and composting to reduce environmental impact.
