Hyderabad hosts 515 Global Capability Centres, expects 50-70 more
A joint report by FICCI and Anarock reveals that Hyderabad is home to approximately 515 Global Capability Centres (GCCs), employing over 300,000 people. The city currently accounts for about 20 per cent of all GCCs in India, marking a transition from a traditional cyber city to a major GCC hub.
Driven by a large talent pool and competitive office rents—ranging from Rs 95-115 per square foot—the city is seeing significant growth in office space leasing. Foreign firm leasing rose to 4.5 million square feet in 2025, up from 1.9 million square feet in 2021. The ecosystem is expanding beyond IT-ITeS into sectors such as banking, financial services, life sciences, semiconductors, engineering, and healthcare.
An additional 50 to 70 GCCs are expected to be established in Hyderabad within the next year, spanning technology, analytics, consulting, and digital operations.
