Hyderabad launches Metro–RTC common pass for commuters

Hyderabad has introduced a new Metro–RTC Common Pass to streamline public transportation for commuters. Inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the initiative allows passengers to use a single pass for both Hyderabad Metro Rail and Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus services within core urban areas.

The common pass options include a daily pass for ₹400 and a monthly pass for ₹8,500. Additionally, TGSRTC has introduced a weekly bus pass for ₹600, which provides unlimited travel on eligible city bus services, including air-conditioned options, for seven consecutive days. The weekly pass is not valid on Pushpak Airport Liner buses.

Government officials stated that these measures aim to reduce traffic congestion and provide more affordable, inclusive, and convenient travel options for residents, tourists, and business visitors.
