Hyderabad police arrest four in illegal bodybuilding injection racket

The Hyderabad Task Force and Goshamahal police have dismantled an illegal drug racket involving the sale of mephentermine sulphate injections intended for bodybuilding. Four individuals were arrested during the operation in the Begum Bazar area.

Investigators identified the primary suspects as Gowtham Singh and R Abhilash, who reportedly met at a gym. Police allege that Singh procured the injections from a supplier in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, via WhatsApp for approximately Rs 160 per vial and resold them for Rs 900 each. Two alleged consumers, Siddesh Aundekar and Daksh Upadhyay, were also taken into custody during the interception.

Authorities seized 50 vials of mephentermine sulphate, insulin injections, empty vials, mobile phones, and a motorcycle. The total value of the seized items is estimated at approximately Rs 1.85 lakh. The Goshamahal police are continuing their investigation into the supply network.
