Hyderabad police arrest suspects in major cash theft and auto battery robbery

Hyderabad police arrested a repeat offender, 33‑year‑old Kuthadi Hari Kumar, for a ₹5.5 lakh servant theft at Bank Street, Koti on July 9, 2026. Officers recovered ₹5,04,900 in cash, two mobile phones bought with the stolen money, a third phone and a car key, and detained the suspect at Shadnagar Bus Stand. The case was logged under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

In a separate incident, the Kulsumpura police station secured a seven‑day jail term for 30‑year‑old M. Ganesh after he was caught attempting to steal an auto‑rickshaw battery on July 13, 2026. The swift night‑patrol interception and prosecution under the City Police Act resulted in a simple imprisonment sentence without a fine.
