Hyderabad Police recover Rs 3 lakh gold for deaf siblings

Tukaramgate Police in Hyderabad successfully recovered and returned gold jewellery worth approximately Rs 3 lakh to two deaf and speech-impaired siblings. The loss occurred when the siblings, who were traveling from Secunderabad on a two-wheeler, accidentally left a bag at a traffic junction.

A passerby discovered the bag and handed it over to a traffic assistant sub-inspector. Upon inspecting the contents, which included 2.5 tolas of gold, police utilized footage from over 60 CCTV cameras to identify the vehicle involved and trace the owners.

Because the siblings were unable to communicate via telephone, officers used WhatsApp to coordinate with them and verify the ownership of the ornaments. The jewellery was subsequently returned to the family at the police station.
