Hyderabad police seize 48 kg of ganja in interstate drug bust
Hyderabad police have intercepted an interstate drug trafficking operation, seizing 48 kg of dry ganja valued at approximately Rs. 24.50 lakh. The operation resulted in the arrest of a minor who was acting as a delivery person.
According to authorities, the minor, a delivery worker facing financial difficulties, was allegedly induced by an acquaintance, Ankit Kumar, to transport the contraband. The group had traveled from Visakhapatnam to procure the drugs from suppliers identified as Naushad and Rajesh. The plan was to transport the substance via train to New Delhi.
The seizure occurred near Nampally Railway Station after the suspects arrived from Secunderabad. The ganja was concealed in 24 sealed packets within airbags and briefcases. While the minor was apprehended, three other suspects—Bandiya from Delhi, Naushad and Rajesh from Visakhapatnam, and Ankit Kumar from Bihar—remain at large.
