Hyderabad police seize over 65 kg ganja and 25 L hash oil in interstate drug busts
The Telangana EAGLE Force intercepted a private bus from Odisha in Hyderabad, confiscating 41.01 kg of ganja worth about Rs 20.5 lakh and detaining three bus staff members. The operation, carried out on July 11 in Auto Nagar, also seized the vehicle and four mobile phones. Earlier, on May 21, the same agency had seized 21 kg of ganja from another Odisha‑to‑Hyderabad bus.
In a separate raid on July 13, Hyderabad City Police uncovered two major hash‑oil trafficking networks, seizing a total of 24.956 L of hash oil valued at Rs 3.12 crore and arresting seven people, including five dealers and two consumers. The oil, sourced from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, had been transported by train and was intended for resale in the city. A key Odisha‑based supplier remains at large. Cases were booked under the NDPS Act.
