Hyderabad: Three arrested for using fake rubber stamps in business fraud
The Goshamahal police in Hyderabad have arrested three individuals for allegedly using fake rubber stamps to conduct fraudulent business operations. The suspects, identified as Mohammad Akbar, Mohammad Alim, and Mohammad Khaseem Pasha, residents of Mylar Devpally, were presented in court and subsequently remanded.
The investigation began following a complaint by Karan Kumar, owner of Vinod Impex in Begum Bazar. Kumar reported that Akbar and Alim used fraudulent stamps to procure goods without payment. Over a period of approximately two and a half months, the duo allegedly obtained goods worth more than 24 lakh rupees without settling their debts, profiting from the resale of the items.
Police seized three smartphones and an inked stamp during the operation. The suspects face charges under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including fraud, criminal breach of trust, and the use of forged documents.
