Hyderabad traffic diversions announced for Khairatabad Bada Ganesh
Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced significant traffic diversions and restrictions in response to the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh festival. The measures are scheduled to take place from September 12 to 24, with diversions likely to be implemented from 11 am onwards depending on crowd density.
Key diversions include rerouting traffic from the VV Statue towards Nirankari Junction, diverting vehicles from Old Police Station Saifabad towards Iqbal Minar, and redirecting traffic from Necklace Rotary towards the Secretariat Junction or Khairatabad Flyover. Police have warned of heavy congestion in areas including Khairatabad, Shadan College, Ayodhya, and Masab Tank.
To mitigate congestion, authorities have urged Ganesh pandal organizers to begin immersion processions early in the morning. Parking facilities have been designated at Race Course Road, NTR Ghat, and near the IMAX Theatre for visitors approaching from Necklace Rotary and NTR Gardens.
