Hyderabad implements traffic diversions near KBR Park

Hyderabad authorities have implemented a one-way traffic system around KBR Park to facilitate the H-CITI project, which involves the construction of 14 flyovers at a cost of Rs. 1,300 crore. The traffic restrictions are expected to remain in place for approximately 1.5 years.

Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar inspected the new arrangements, noting that while the first day saw some commuter confusion and zigzag driving, traffic movement has since stabilized and become smoother. Officials are using drones and monitoring from control rooms to manage the flow. To assist motorists, clear signboards have been installed at major junctions including Agrasen, Film Nagar, and Jubilee Checkpost.

In a separate enforcement drive, the Hyderabad Traffic Police booked 1,015 cases for obstructing free-left turns and 334 cases involving minors driving vehicles. Officials emphasized that these actions are necessary to improve road safety and reduce congestion caused by lane violations.
