Two women were allegedly assaulted in the Almasguda area of Ranga Reddy district, Hyderabad, following accusations of attempting religious conversion. Reports indicate that locals confronted the women after they were accused of preaching Christianity to schoolgirls and using chocolates to lure children.
A video of the incident, which appears to show a man attacking the women, has circulated widely on social media. Former Telangana minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy condemned the violence, stating that any concerns regarding religious freedom should be addressed through legal channels rather than physical assault. Reddy has urged the Telangana Police to identify the perpetrators and take immediate legal action.
