Hyderabad's Nehru Zoological Park raises ticket prices

The Zoos and Parks Authority of Telangana (ZAPAT) approved a revision of entry and service charges for Hyderabad's Nehru Zoological Park, effective 1 August. Adult tickets for Indian visitors increase from Rs 100 to Rs 120 and child tickets from Rs 50 to Rs 60. A separate foreign‑visitor entry fee of Rs 1,000 is introduced.

Additional hikes include the AC safari (Rs 150 → Rs 165), non‑AC safari (Rs 100 → Rs 110), battery‑operated vehicle rides (adult Rs 120 → Rs 135; child Rs 70 → Rs 75), and toy‑train fares (adult Rs 80 → Rs 90; child Rs 40 → Rs 45). Charges for the fish aquarium, nocturnal animal house, and reptile house were also raised. The decision was taken at ZAPAT’s 15th governing‑body meeting on 13 July, chaired by Forest Minister Konda Surekha.
