Hyeseong Kim excluded from Dodgers NLCS roster

Hyeseong Kim has been excluded from the Los Angeles Dodgers' roster for the 2026 National League Championship Series (NLCS) against the Milwaukee Brewers. The decision comes as the Dodgers prioritize pitching depth for the seven-game series, opting to call up reliever Justin Robleski instead of maintaining Kim on the bench.

While Kim was included in the Division Series roster, his playing time was minimal, appearing only once as a defensive substitute in the final game. The Dodgers' decision to include rookie Jose De Paula and veteran Miguel Rojas over Kim was driven by the need for left-handed pinch-hitting options and bullpen stability.

Following the Dodgers' 1-2 loss in Game 1 of the NLCS in Milwaukee, fans expressed disappointment over Kim's absence, noting his connection to the team's previous championship success. Kim's chances of re-entering the roster for the World Series remain uncertain.
