Hyolim Medical Foundation develops AI platform for elderly care

Joo Se-ho, managing director of the Hyolim Medical Foundation, is spearheading the ‘Better AI Care Platform’ project to address loneliness among elderly patients in nursing hospitals. The initiative involves university student supporters who engage with seniors through walks and conversation.

To preserve these connections, the project uses AI to transform the life stories shared by seniors into digital content, such as videos and webtoons. The foundation is currently developing a mobile application to create a virtuous cycle of care, allowing volunteer records and data to be shared with future participants. Joo has expressed a need for AI expert support to overcome technical limitations in developing the platform's minimum viable product (MVP).
