Hyosung and ExaINC report increased first-half profits

Hyosung and HS Hyosung reported increased operating profits for the first half of the year, driven by diverse sectors. Hyosung saw growth in power equipment and textiles/chemicals, with consolidated revenue reaching 1.26 trillion won. Key contributors included Hyosung Heavy Industries, fueled by transformer and circuit breaker demand in the US, and Hyosung T&C. Hyosung Chemical also achieved a turnaround to profit.

HS Hyosung's consolidated revenue rose 11.6% to 797.9 billion won, with operating profit increasing 130.2%. Growth was led by HS Hyosung Advanced Materials, particularly in tire reinforcement materials, carbon fiber, and aramid. Additionally, the data business saw demand increases due to AI adoption and data center expansion.

Separately, KOSDAQ-listed ExaINC reported a significant rise in first-half performance, with consolidated operating profit increasing 465% to 1.7 billion won on sales of 106.2 billion won. This growth was driven by increased project volumes for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, specifically supporting Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek campus and SK hynix's Yongin semiconductor cluster.
