Hyosung Group Chairman outlines vision for next 100 years

Hyosung Group held a ceremony at its Mapo headquarters to celebrate its 60th anniversary. Chairman Cho Hyun-jun presented a vision for the next century, emphasizing the need to overcome global economic uncertainties such as rising national debt, prolonged conflicts, and protectionism.

Cho introduced three core principles to drive organizational innovation: a tenacious approach to overcoming difficulties, meticulous execution, and building customer trust. He described the company as a ‘Morning Star’ that brings light to the dawn through persistence and challenge.

During the event, Jason Neil, head of Hyosung HICO (the group’s US subsidiary), received the ‘Hyosung Person of the Year’ award. Neil was recognized for establishing local circuit breaker production through strategic cooperation with Quanta and securing significant orders in the North American ultra-high voltage grid and AI data center markets. Hyosung’s US power market orders are projected to grow from approximately $2.38 billion in 2025 to $5.29 billion in 2026.
