Hyoyeon reveals living in Girls’ Generation dorm for 19 years
Hyoyeon, a member of the K-pop group Girls’ Generation, has drawn public attention after revealing that she has continued to live in the group’s dormitory for 19 years, even after other members moved out.
During a preview for the MBC variety show ‘The Manager’ (Omniscient Interfering View), Hyoyeon shared glimpses of her daily life at the residence. She noted that she often sleeps on the floor due to a lack of a bed, while the group’s dog occupies the bed.
Hyoyeon explained that staying in the dormitory is more practical for managing her busy professional schedule than returning to her family home in Songdo. She also highlighted the close bond she maintains with the dormitory’s caretaker, a woman who has looked after the household since Hyoyeon was in high school. Tiffany Young also noted the long-standing relationship, mentioning the caretaker has been with the group for approximately 22 years.
