HyperAccel appoints former Samsung Securities executive as CFO

AI semiconductor startup HyperAccel has appointed Jun-yeon Kim as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Kim joins the company from Samsung Securities, where he served as a director in the Capital Markets division.

During his tenure at Samsung Securities, Kim specialized in equity capital markets (ECM), including initial public offerings (IPOs), rights offerings, and private equity investments. He has also recently provided IPO advisory services for domestic AI semiconductor firms. His professional background includes business development roles at Amazon and international business development and marketing at POSCO International.

HyperAccel focuses on developing Large Language Model Processing Units (LPUs) optimized for LLM inference. The company intends to leverage Kim’s expertise in capital markets and global business development to strengthen its financial strategies, facilitate overseas investment attraction, and support its global expansion efforts.
