Hyperbolic secures $30 million to expand AI compute infrastructure

AI infrastructure company Hyperbolic has announced a $30 million strategic funding round led by Walden Catalyst. The investment round included participation from Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital, and Salience Capital.

The capital will be used to develop Forge, Hyperbolic’s infrastructure control plane, and to enhance its ability to manage workloads across various cloud providers. The company aims to create a global market where customers can acquire GPU capacity and resell unused capacity, addressing the challenge of inflexible hardware commitments in the AI sector.

Hyperbolic currently manages a GPU cloud ecosystem involving more than 300 providers with diverse hardware and operational standards.
