Hypercar collectors highlight extreme costs of elite vehicles

High-end hypercar collectors are highlighting the extreme maintenance and customization costs associated with ultra-exclusive vehicles.

Real estate entrepreneur and collector Manny Khoshbin noted the intense operational requirements of the Bugatti Bolide. The track-only hypercar, limited to 40 units with prices between 4 and 7 million euros, features a 1,600-horsepower W16 quad-turbo engine. A notable maintenance detail includes the Michelin slick tires, which are estimated to cost 14,000 euros per change and have a lifespan of only 58 kilometers.

In a separate development, collector Steve Hamilton is awaiting the delivery of his Apollo Evo, a limited production run of only 10 units. Valued at approximately 3.5 million euros, the vehicle is being customized with a ‘Galaxy Dragon’ theme, featuring purple carbon fiber. The Apollo Evo utilizes a V12 engine and represents a highly personalized investment for high-profile collectors.
