Hyperliquid implements HYPE token buybacks and ETF staking results

Hyperliquid is implementing new financial mechanisms to support its native HYPE token. The protocol has received approximately $14.6 million in USDC yield, which will be transferred to the Hyperliquid Assistance Fund. This fund is intended for HYPE token buybacks and burns, utilizing yield from the AQAv2 mechanism to supplement fee revenue.

In a parallel development, the 21Shares Hyperliquid Staking ETF ($THYP) released its first full operating-period results. As of June 30, 2026, the fund held $71.17 million in net assets. The report confirmed that 94.43% of the fund’s HYPE holdings were staked during this period, generating $125,025 in staking rewards, of which $73,118 was distributed to shareholders.
