Hyperliquid L1 Perpetual Futures Exchange Attracts US Traders and Institutional Staking Millions

Hyperliquid operates a custom Layer‑1 blockchain built specifically for a decentralized perpetual futures exchange. The chain runs at roughly 0.07‑second block times, enabling atomic liquidations, instant funding transfers and sub‑second finality. A fully on‑chain central limit order book records order placement, matching and fills, while the platform offers advanced order types (GTC, IOC, FOK, TWAP, stop‑loss, take‑profit), a Go SDK, EVM JSON‑RPC access and an AI‑driven trading agent.

Blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain reported that large crypto whales moved tens to hundreds of millions of dollars worth of HYPE tokens into Hyperliquid for staking. One whale transferred 557,902 HYPE tokens (about $32.9 million) from the FalconX platform, and another moved 2.93 million HYPE tokens (about $172 million) across 19 wallets. These flows signal growing institutional interest in Hyperliquid’s staking rewards and suggest the platform is becoming a preferred venue for high‑value crypto investors.
