Hyperliquid HYPE token tops $76 as ETFs draw $180 million of inflows

Three U.S. exchange‑traded funds that track Hyperliquid’s native token HYPE – 21Shares’ THYP, Bitwise’s BHYP and Grayscale’s HYPG – have collectively attracted roughly $180 million in net inflows since their launches in May. Bitwise’s BHYP alone now holds over 1 million HYPE tokens, worth more than $62 million, and has staked about 70% of its holdings, generating yield for investors. The fund recently added 77,097 HYPE ($5.2 million) through FalconX.

The influx of institutional capital has coincided with a sharp price rally for HYPE. On June 16 the token jumped more than 11% to a new all‑time high of $76.90, pushing its market capitalization close to $17 billion and placing it among the top ten crypto assets by value. The rally followed a recovery from a June 11 low of $53 and was amplified by higher trading volume, short liquidations of about $11.5 million and positive commentary from industry figures.

Hyperliquid’s staking model, which distributes protocol‑generated trading fees rather than inflationary rewards, is a key draw for investors seeking yield on‑chain. The combined ETF inflows and token price surge underscore growing institutional interest in on‑chain derivatives platforms.
