Hyperscale Data sells 685 Bitcoin to fund Michigan data center expansion

Hyperscale Data has sold approximately 685 Bitcoin for roughly $43 million to fund the expansion of its data center in Michigan. The sale reduces the Las Vegas-based company’s holdings from about 960 BTC to approximately 275 BTC.

The company intends to use the proceeds primarily to support the development of its Michigan facility, which is central to its strategic shift toward AI infrastructure. Additionally, the liquidity will allow the company to manage its debt, equity, and broader capital structure, having already reduced its debt by approximately $30 million.

Executive Chairman Milton Ault III stated that the sale is a matter of capital allocation and does not signal an end to the company’s Bitcoin strategy. Hyperscale Data plans to continue mining Bitcoin and expects to use future mining production and available capital to rebuild its holdings over time.
