Hyperscale Data sells 686 Bitcoin to repay Morpho loans

Hyperscale Data sold approximately 686 Bitcoin in August 2026 for roughly $43.4 million. The company used a portion of these proceeds to fully repay all outstanding Bitcoin-backed loans on the Morpho decentralized finance lending protocol.

The repayment released the company’s pledged collateral, specifically Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin (cbBTC), and eliminated its immediate debt exposure to the Morpho protocol. However, the sale has not resolved broader financial concerns. According to recent filings, Hyperscale’s available liquidity is not expected to cover its operating requirements, obligations, and planned capital expenditures for the next 12 months.

As of June 30, 2026, the company reported $36.8 million in cash and cash equivalents against $201.7 million in current liabilities. For the first half of 2026, Hyperscale recorded a consolidated net loss of $49.1 million.
