Hypno5e reveals new single ‘Molecular Angel’ from upcoming album

French progressive metal band Hypno5e has released a new single and music video titled ‘Molecular Angel’ from their upcoming seventh studio album, ‘Trame Noire’. The album is scheduled for release on November 6 via Pelagic Records.

According to vocalist and guitarist Emmanuel Jessua, ‘Molecular Angel’ serves as a turning point in the album’s narrative, transitioning from external environmental changes to the internal transformation of a character. The track is described as more direct, raw, and condensed than the band’s typical compositions, moving from ethereal passages to frantic chaos.

‘Trame Noire’—a term referring to urban architecture designed to preserve darkness for nocturnal species—follows a protagonist confronting trauma over the course of a single night. To celebrate over 20 years of the band, a 13xLP boxset featuring their complete discography will also be released.
