Hypocrisy Cancels North American Tour Over Visa Issues

Swedish melodic death‑metal band Hypocrisy announced the cancellation of its entire North American tour scheduled for August 10‑23, 2026. Visa problems prevented the group from entering the United States and Canada, forcing the cancellation of headlining dates in cities such as New York, Omaha, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as a support slot on Dimmu Borgir’s tour alongside Suffocation and HULDER. The band issued a statement apologising to fans, directing refund inquiries to original ticket sellers and promising to work toward rescheduling. This mirrors a similar visa‑related cancellation the band experienced in 2009.
