Høyre and SV face declining support in Norwegian polls

Recent polling data indicates a decline in support for the Norwegian political parties Høyre and SV. According to an InFact poll of 2,907 voters, Høyre has fallen to 11.9 percent support, marking its first drop below 12 percent since 2006. This decline is noted as statistically significant, with a margin of error between 0.6% and 1.9%.

Political observers, including Lillesand Mayor Einar Holmer-Hoven, suggest that Høyre's policies have become too similar to the Labor Party (Ap) regarding climate requirements, taxation, and public spending. This perceived shift toward the center has reportedly allowed the Progress Party (FrP) to establish itself as a primary alternative for conservative voters.
