HYUKOH releases new single ‘KoK’ and music video

South Korean alternative rock band HYUKOH has released a new single titled ‘KoK’. This release follows closely on the heels of their song ‘Godspeed!’, which was released just nine days prior, signaling a new musical direction for the group.

The 8-minute and 27-second track explores the theme of ‘paradoxical solitude’ experienced at the height of success, questioning the nature of human desire and the pursuit of an elusive ‘Big Day’. The song was recorded at Real World Studios in the UK with co-producer Yu Su.

The accompanying music video, directed by Song Seoyoon, features a blend of surreal aesthetics and traditional Korean dances. The production involved a partnership with the mountain sports brand Salomon, showcasing their upcoming XT-EVO sneakers. The single’s cover art was created by artist Minjeong An, whose work is held by the Museum of Modern Art.
