Jeep launches Avenger hybrid SUV in Brazil
Jeep has officially launched the Avenger in Brazil, marking its entry into the competitive B-SUV segment. Produced at the Stellantis plant in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, the model is designed to serve as an entry point for new customers and to compete with rivals such as the Renault Kardian and Volkswagen Tera.
The Avenger is available in three versions: Altitude, Longitude, and Limited. Launch prices range from a promotional R$ 114,990 for the first 1,000 Altitude units to R$ 145,990 for the top-tier Limited version. The vehicle features a 1.0 turbo engine paired with a 12V mild hybrid (MHEV) system, producing 116 cv and 20.4 kgfm of torque, coupled with a CVT transmission.
Technological highlights include integrated ChatGPT for voice commands, LED Matrix headlights on the Limited trim, and Level 2 ADAS safety features. While the model offers improved urban dimensions and off-road capability with a 221 mm ground clearance, some reports note a limited trunk capacity of approximately 321 liters and tight interior space for taller passengers.
