Hyundai Elantra 2027 debuts with new design and hybrid options

The 2027 Hyundai Elantra has been spotted on the streets, showcasing significant updates to its design, platform, and powertrain. The sedan features the new ‘Art of Steel’ design language, characterized by sharp body lines, distinct blocks, and more muscular wheel arches to create a modern and substantial appearance.

Dimensionally, the vehicle maintains a large presence in its segment with a length of 4,765 mm, a width of 1,855 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The trunk capacity is 479 liters, and Hyundai has redesigned the trunk lid to improve accessibility for bulky items.

Performance options include a 2.0L naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 149 PS and a hybrid powertrain combining a 1.6L gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total output of 157 PS. Hyundai reports improvements in efficiency and performance, noting a potential 6% reduction in 0-100 km/h acceleration time and a 17% improvement in the 80-120 km/h range.
