Hyundai Engineering & Construction to lead Gaepo Jugong 6·7 reconstruction

The Gangnam District Office has approved the management and disposal plan for the Gaepo Jugong 6 and 7 complex reconstruction project. This administrative milestone, following feasibility verification by the Korea Real Estate Board, allows the project to move toward relocation and demolition.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction is the designated contractor for the project, which has a total construction cost of approximately 1.51 trillion KRW. The redevelopment will transform the current 1,960 households into 2,698 units across 21 buildings, with a maximum height of 35 floors. Unit sizes will range from 45 to 147 square meters.

The reconstruction timeline aims for resident relocation to begin in February 2027, followed by asbestos removal and demolition in the second half of that year. Construction is targeted to commence in 2028, with move-in scheduled for the second half of 2032.
